Earlier this week, on 5th May, we continued our Roundtable Discussion on Prospective Policy Proposals for Voluntary Carbon Markets in Malaysia in Kuching, Sarawak, at the Grand Margherita Hotel. Leading the session, Mr. Ho Yi Jian, our researcher for this project, presented the latest report, incorporating key findings and insights gathered from our previous roundtables in Kuala Lumpur and Sabah.
During the discussion, we deepened our understanding of existing carbon projects in Sarawak, gaining valuable perspectives from experts on the challenges and opportunities within the region. Additionally, we helped raise awareness on this critical topic, particularly for those new to the field, ensuring a broader appreciation of the issues at hand.
The roundtable united like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds, encouraging meaningful exchanges of insights and thought-provoking discussions. It was a productive session that strengthened collaboration and broadened perspectives on shaping policies for Malaysia’s voluntary carbon markets.
We’re excited to announce that our report will be launching soon!
