Events - Webinar "ESG & Integrity: Are Malaysian Companies Truly Embedding Governance?"

On 7 July 2026, Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) successfully hosted the webinar "ESG & Integrity: Are Malaysian Companies Truly Embedding Governance?", which brought together 193 participants from various sectors to explore the evolving role of governance and integrity in ESG practices.

As ESG continues to shape the future of business, good governance remains the cornerstone of sustainable and responsible corporate practices. The webinar explored whether Malaysian companies are genuinely embedding governance and integrity into their ESG strategies or whether these efforts remain largely compliance-driven. The discussion also highlighted key challenges, opportunities, and practical approaches to strengthening governance as a foundation for long-term sustainability and stakeholder trust.

We were honoured to welcome our distinguished speakers:

• Prof. Dato' Dr. Rajah Rasiah, Distinguished Professor of Economics and Executive Director, Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya.

• Mr. Sasikumar Rajapan, Head, Group Corporate Assurance Upstream Malaysia, R&D & Group Head Office, SD Guthrie Berhad.

The session was expertly moderated by Mr. Muhamad Nazri bin Shaidon, Executive Committee Member of Transparency International Malaysia.

Our sincere appreciation goes to our speakers for sharing their valuable insights and to all participants for their active participation and contributions to the engaging discussion.

Together, let us continue advancing integrity, transparency, and accountability as essential pillars of ESG and sustainable business.
