Transparency International Malaysia views with great concern relating to the seizure of files from the seven assemblymen. The action seems to be one of selective investigation and gives the impression of political harassment. In order to assure public confidence of its role to be one that is neutral, independent and apolitical, the MACC must quickly inform the public on the reason for their action and any investigation on misuse of public funds must be carried out speedily and the results to be made public.
