We are pleased to announce the fourth issue of FGI newsletter is out!
The current Forest Governance Integrity Project (FGIP) will be coming to an end at the end of May 2014. Efforts are being made to continue on with this project but on a smaller scale.
There were many interesting activities that were held the past three months. Two workshops were held with the Orang Asli and the outcome was the establishment of State Monitoring Units by Jaringan Kampung-Kampung Orang Asli Semenanjung Malaysia (JKOASM) to help monitor suspicious forest- related activities. TI-M’s footprint in Sarawak was solidified with the holding of a capacity building workshop on 1st April 2014.
We are pleased to publish the winning photos of the top prize winners of “The Beautiful Rainforest” photo competition in this issue.
